Solicitor and Director

With over 30 years of legal experience Tina practices both contentious and non-contentious employment law, workplace and employee training and commercial mediation for disputants. As a result, Tina has had the advantage of working with a wide range of sectors including education, leisure, manufacturing, construction and professional services. Accordingly, Tina has gained a wealth of experience regarding complex Tribunal cases, seeking injunctions, Unfair Dismissal, Discrimination, Whistleblowing, TUPE related claims, Disciplinaries, Redundancies, and Executive Severances. 

Over Tina’s career she has had the honour to meet thousands of people, subsequent to this Tina continues to build a solid network and contributes to the community by:

  • Teaching Employment Law on the Legal Practice Course at the University of Derby.
  • Sitting on the Executive Committee of the Sole Practitoner's Group.
  • Mentoring Law Students at the University of Derby. 
  • Holding various School Governor roles at both Primary and Secondary Schools, most recently as Vice Chair at Allestree Woodlands School in Derby.

As well chairing and organising events for the East Midlands Sole Practitioners Group. Tina is also a member of the Employment Lawyers Association, The Law Society of England and Wales, the Derby and District Law Society, the National Sole Practitioner's Group and the Derby Equality and Diversity Network. More recently, Tina has been nominated as the President of the Derby and District Law Society for the year 2024/25. TIna is currently undertaking the role of Deputy Vice President.  

More personally, despite Tina’s busy schedule in her spare time Tina enjoys walking, taking moments to appreciate nature with her dog. She enjoys time spent in Cornwall, open water swimming, finding peace in yoga and spending time with family and friends.
